European Course on Laparoscopic Surgery (Brussels)

Course description

How can a surgeon expand his/her field of indications in laparoscopy? During two four days sessions, one in the spring and one in the fall, the following themes are developed: • Tuesday : Surgery of the foregut (oesophagus, reflux, obesity surgery) • Wednesday : Colonic surgery (colectomy, rectopexy) • Thursday : Inguinal (TEP, TAPP) and ventral hernia • Friday : Splenectomy, hepatobiliary surgery and surgery of the future (robot, simulator)

Course Objectives

• to show common advanced procedures in their newest development
• to show tricks and pitfalls
• to indicate operative strategies and their anatomical base
• to allow intensive interaction between surgeon, experts and the audience
